Meat Direct has supplied leading restaurants, hotels and caterers across Wellington and New Zealand since 1998. Chefs come to us because we listen — we work alongside our restaurant clients to build menus with a genuine point of difference, and more than a few of those dishes have gone on to win at major food awards.

Each year we also partner with chefs for Wellington on a Plate, sourcing the unique products and cuts their menus call for.

Our wholesale range covers beef, lamb, pork, venison, seafood, chicken and duck. Need something harder to find? Through our network of niche suppliers we can source specialist game and unusual cuts — rabbit, wild pig, thar, eel, hare, wallaby, and more.

Refrigerated trucks deliver daily, Monday to Saturday, to restaurants, cafés and caterers across the Wellington CBD. Outside Wellington, orders go out by chilled freight and arrive the next day.
